Already in the quarterfinals, several of the skaters fell on the tight urban course in Drammen.

The accident then happened again in one of the semi-finals.

On a downhill section, American Ben Ogden collided with Johannes Høsflot Klæbo and both went down. Klæbo lay in the snow for a long time, reaching for his head after the impact, before a doctor helped him off the course.

Alvar Myhlback also fell in the commotion but made it to the finish line.

It's so fucking boring. When it feels so good, I just get tired of it, Myhlback told Viaplay and continued:

I think I could have won.

When asked how the race went after the crash, the Swede's answer was short.

There will be no more races after that.

Anton Grahn won the heat and advanced to the final. But the troubles didn't end there. Grahn led the final for a long time but fell on a curve and finished last.

Norway's Ansgar Evensen took the victory, ahead of Czech Jiri Tuz and Norwegian Kristian Kollerud, who came third in his World Cup debut.

The latest news about Klæbo is that he was taken from the competition by ambulance for further medical examinations, according to Viaplay, which cites NRK.
