Kendrick Lamar's "Not like us" hit like a bomb when it was released in May last year and became one of the most played songs of 2024 on streaming platforms.
In the song, Drake and his entourage are accused of being "criminal pedophiles that the public should be warned about". The work was part of a long-standing conflict between the two world stars that dates back to the early 2010s.
In January this year, Drake sued his record label Universal Music for defamation and harassment because the company released and marketed Lamar's diss song. Drake claimed that the record label had chosen "greed and profit interests over the safety and well-being of its artists".
But on Thursday, the federal judge Jeannette A Vargas announced in a written statement that the lawsuit application is dismissed.
