The reception on streaming platforms has been enormous - on the day of release, he became the most-streamed artist in a single day on Spotify this year.
But among critics, the tone is somewhat different. The Guardian describes the comeback as a “disaster” while The Irish Times condemns it as “insipid”. However, Aftonbladet notes that this is Drake’s “best” with “the soulful and self-deprecating hip-hop that once took him to the top”.
