More than 30 people have been killed and several others abducted in Niger State in Nigeria, local police say.
Armed assailants stormed the village of Kasuwan-Daji on Saturday evening and opened fire, a police spokesman said.
Similar attacks, in which criminal gangs try to take control of remote villages, are common in Nigeria.
