Stock market sentiment is not at its best among Asian stock markets. The US central bank, the Fed, announced on Wednesday that it would once again lower its key interest rate, and several of the major indices in Asia fell on Thursday.
In Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 had fallen 1.0 percent by lunchtime. The Topix was down 0.8 percent.
In China, morning price movements were more cautious. Shenzhen had fallen 0.2 percent by lunchtime, while the Shanghai Composite Index was down 0.5 percent at the same time. Hong Kong-based Hang Seng is trading unchanged.
South Korea's Kospi is not having a good day either. The index is down 0.4 percent.
