The region announced on Friday evening that a total of 14 people were injured in the accident, of which one was seriously injured, eleven were moderately injured and two were slightly injured. Some were taken to hospital by ambulance, others by a bus that passed the scene of the accident.
A total of 48 people were on board the overturned bus.
The bus is a double-decker and ended up on its side in a ditch. Two passenger cars ended up in a ditch on the other side of the road.
The caller said it was a rear-end collision but could not say who hit whom, says Agnes Brandt, team leader at SOS Alarm.
The accident occurred at around 12 p.m. on Friday and the vehicles involved were travelling in a southbound direction.
The police are investigating the incident as traffic negligence. According to Norran, it was a bus from Germany that overturned.
