The Swedish national team midfielder laid the ball down at the corner flag in the 35th minute. But instead of the usual approach of serving her teammates with a pass, the 28-year-old screwed the ball straight into the goal.
That meant 1–0 away against Aston Villa in a match that Manchester United ultimately won 4–1.
The final goal was scored by another blue-yellow national team player. Hanna Lundkvist, signed at the turn of the year, was substituted in the 61st minute and scored to make it 4–1 - her first goal for United - in the 79th minute.
Ellen Wangerheim and Anna Sandberg also started for the away team. Fridolina Rolfö missed the match through injury.
