On Friday, the risk of grass fires is high or very high in southern and eastern Götaland except for Gotland, in eastern Svealand and snow-free parts of southernmost Gävleborg County.
Dry grass from last year is exposed, which is highly flammable; garden fires or sparks from machinery can ignite it.
The elevated risk is assessed to apply from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., before rain sets in.
A yellow warning is also in effect until early morning for strong or very strong winds in combination with snowfall in the southern Jämtland Mountains and the northernmost Dala Mountains.
Until 11:00 p.m. on Thursday, the same warning also applies to the southern Dalafjällen.
