"After my years in the women's national team, I know what it takes to break into that level, and with the experience from that time, I look forward to preparing the players in the best possible way to take the step up to the senior national team - while of course we want to get results and win football matches," Wikman tells the Swedish Football Association's website.
Magnus Wikman starts his new job in January and the first collection takes place at the end of February.
