The 51-year-old Allvin, born in Falun, has worked in the NHL since the early 2000s.
In January 2022, he was hired as the general manager in Vancouver after working for many years in Pittsburgh.
But after Vancouver's weak performance last season, he had to leave.
Now he is moving south, crossing the border into the United States to Seattle.
The Seattle Kraken debuted in the NHL in the 2021-22 season and have only reached the playoffs once in five seasons.
