Dallas confirmed in an official statement that the 28-year-old has been signed. The contract runs until 2029 and also includes an option for another year.
"I immediately felt when I met Eric Quill (head coach) and Andre Zanotta (sports director) that everything was at the top level," Johansson tells the club's website.
According to Sky Sport Germany, the transfer fee is around one million euros. This corresponds to just under 11 million kronor.
The winger joined Mjällby from Sandviken ahead of the 2021 season. During his time with the Blekinge club, he played a total of 136 matches and, as is well known, won a Swedish Championship gold medal.
Dallas finished last season in seventh place in the MLS Western Conference, but received a direct bye to the playoffs after losing to Vancouver.
