On Monday it emerged that Philip Berglund is leaving Hammarby after just six months.
Now it is clear that his new club will be Allsvenskan side Malmö FF - as sporting director.
"Despite his age, Philip Berglund has a great deal of relevant experience. He has a sharp eye for football and has shown in various roles that he is skilled at engaging people and encouraging involvement," says football director Daniel Andersson on the club's website.
The 34-year-old will take up the position in August, with overall responsibility for the men's team's sporting activities.
"Malmö FF is Sweden's most successful club of all time and I see enormous potential for it to continue to be so," says Philip Berglund.
