The SDHL's reigning champion had a tough start to the semi-final away at SDE, but withstood the home team's pressure and ended the period by scoring two goals.
The start, with goals from Elisa Holopainen and Hanna Olsson, laid the foundation for Frölunda's 2-1 victory and the club's progress to the final. The Gothenburg team secured the title last year - which was the club's first on the women's side - by winning three straight matches against Luleå.
They now face a final series against Brynäs, who previously won the semi-final against Luleå. The Gävle club has played in seven finals but never won.
The Swedish Championship final begins on March 23.
