The SDHL's reigning champions had a tough start to the semi-final away against SDE, but still withstood the home team's pressure and ended the period by scoring two goals.
The start, featuring goals from Elisa Holopainen and Hanna Olsson, laid the foundation for Frölunda's 2-1 victory and the club's progress to the final. The Gothenburg team secured the title last year - the club's first on the women's side - by winning three straight matches against Luleå.
In their bid to defend the championship, Frölunda now await a final series against Brynäs, who previously won the semi-final against Luleå. The Gävle club has played in seven finals but never won.
The Swedish Championship final begins on March 23.
