Domestic flights continue to decrease, according to the state-owned Swedavia's air travel statistics.
Compared to May 2024, domestic travel decreased by six percent – mainly in the southern parts of Sweden.
The level of international travel, on the other hand, remained unchanged compared to last year.
In total, just over three million passengers traveled through Swedavia's ten airports in May, which is a decrease of one percent compared to the same period last year. The level corresponds to 83 percent of the levels before 2019.
Sweden's largest airport, Arlanda, had an increase of four percent in passengers in May compared to the corresponding period last year.
