Domestic Air Travel Declines in Sweden's Major Airports

The larger Swedish airports had 1.3 percent fewer passengers during the first quarter than during the same period last year. It was the first time the passenger number decreased since the pandemic, according to the state-owned airport owner Swedavia's quarterly report.

Mainly, it is domestic travel that continues to pull down the figures.

"The number of international passengers continued to increase, but with a dampened recovery rate due to several external factors. At the same time, the challenging development for domestic travel has continued", writes Swedavia.
