Dolly Parton was forced in September to postpone a number of upcoming concerts in Las Vegas to 2026, as she has been affected by kidney stones, among other things.
On Tuesday, her sister Freida Parton shared her concern and asked the fans to pray for the star, a call that became world news.
Then she had to back down, as many fans had become worried.
"I did not mean to scare anyone or make it sound as serious as I did when I asked for prayers for Dolly. She has been a little under the weather and I simply asked for prayers because I believe in the power of prayer", she writes on Facebook.
Now Parton herself is coming out in a new video and is speaking directly to her followers and all who have wondered.
I know everyone thinks I'm sicker than I am. Do I look sick? I'm here filming some commercial videos, I'm working hard, says the star.
She adds that she appreciates that everyone has cared about her health and sent thoughts and prayers.
Dolly Parton's husband of 60 years, Carl Dean, passed away in March after a long illness, which Parton is open about also having taken hard on her. The country icon herself will turn 80 years old in January 2026.
