When Entertainment Weekly asked her in 2014 what music she wanted at her own funeral, she chose "If We Never Meet Again" - a 1945 gospel song by Albert E. Brumley that is about reuniting with loved ones after death.
"It was my dad's favorite. We sang it at his funeral and I would like it to be sung at mine," Dolly Parton said, according to CNN.
But she also believed that her own ballad "I Will Always Love You" would be played, and remembered the effect it had on her during Whitney Houston's funeral.
