The 79-year-old was forced earlier in September to cancel an appearance at her own amusement park Dollywood due to kidney stones.
"As many of you know, I've had some health challenges and my doctors have said that I need to undergo some procedures", writes Parton.
What the procedures are, the country star does not go into. She does note, however, that "it's not my usual trip to the plastic surgeon".
Parton writes that she will be able to work on other projects in the coming time, but not rehearse for the upcoming concerts as she had wanted.
"You pay a lot of money to see me perform, I want to be my best for you".
The planned concerts are postponed from December this year to autumn 2026.
