Dogs were living in the stench of urine and feces, and several were kept in cages. Now a woman in Halland is being charged with animal cruelty and violating the Animal Welfare Act.

When the county administrative board visited the woman after an anonymous tip, 15 dogs were found that were deemed to have suffered physical and mental harm, reports Hallandsposten.

Several of the dogs were kept in small cages amid urine and feces, and 13 of them did not have free access to water. Several dogs had overgrown claws and matted fur. According to the county administrative board, the dogs had also not received mental or physical stimulation. The woman denies the crime but admits the circumstances.
