"They have been bitten on their hands and arms. One of them has also been bitten in the stomach and leg," says police spokesperson Ola Österling.
He says they had to apply a bandage to stop the bleeding on one of the men. One of the men is being taken to hospital, while the other is receiving treatment in the apartment.
The dog has been locked in a room. Ola Österling says it is a so-called fighting dog.
One of the injured men is the dog's owner and the other is a friend who was visiting.
The police have opened a criminal investigation into violations of the Act on the Supervision of Dogs and Cats and into causing bodily harm.
The alarm about the incident came at around 8:30 p.m. on Saturday.
