It was in the middle of the second half of the international friendly in Odense on Sunday evening when the 34-year-old collapsed on the field.
During Euro 2021, Eriksen collapsed in a match against Finland at Parken in Copenhagen and has since had an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) implanted.
Shortly after Sunday's incident, Eriksen regained consciousness when the defibrillator worked properly. He was taken to hospital and is said to be doing well under the circumstances.
The national team doctor does not want to speculate whether the midfielder's career is now over.
"I know nothing about that. I leave that to the experts in the field and Christian himself," says Morten Boesen.
