In the district court, the doctor, who denied the crimes, was sentenced to seven years in prison.
The sentence was then increased by the Court of Appeal, which in September last year sentenced the man to eight years in prison and ordered him to pay approximately 1.9 million kronor in damages to the victims for a long series of rapes.
The assaults took place at a health center in Uppsala and at one in Stockholm.
The Health and Medical Services Responsibility Board has now decided to strip the man of his medical license, according to radio reports. The board finds that the crimes are so serious that trust in him as a doctor cannot be maintained.
