”I have always had an ambition to play football abroad and now that dream becomes reality. It will of course be a challenging environment and high level in Championship, at the same time as it will be developmental”, says Alemayehu to Djurgården's website.
In May, Isak Alemayehu scored the consolation goal when Djurgården lost 1–4 at home to Chelsea in the first of two semi-finals in Conference League (1–5 overall). In Allsvenskan, he has played ten matches this season, four of which as a starter.
”He had an expiring contract and we had a discussion about the future in Djurgården. But Isak wanted to try a different environment and then this opportunity arose with a request from Queens Park Rangers”, says Djurgården's sports manager Bosse Andersson.
