Djurgården had aimed to fight at the top of this year's women's Swedish championship. That hasn't happened and, after yet another loss, it is clear that Djurgården will have to spend the autumn securing a new contract.
MFF's Vesna Milivojevic opened the scoring just after the half-hour mark by firing home the 1-0 after a failed clearance by the visitors, and just four minutes later Izzy D'Aquila headed in the 2-0.
Djurgården never recovered from those nightmare minutes.
Älvali Lindström made it 3-0 with ten minutes left in the match and Djurgården's third straight loss was a fact, meaning that Djurgården is only one point away from a negative qualifying spot.
With the victory, Malmö took an increasingly firm grip on third place.
