The experienced defender has signed a one-year contract with Djurgården, the club he left in 2016.
This is an established, skilled and experienced defender who has played here before. We are very happy to get a guy with a big Djurgården heart back to Djurgården again, says Wikegård in a statement on the club's website.
Since leaving Djurgården in 2016, Holm has made his NHL debut in Vancouver, represented clubs in Russia and Switzerland and played both World Championship and Olympic Games with Tre Kronor.
Most recently, he comes from Rapperswil-Jona Lakers in the Swiss league, after a notable departure from Örebro in the spring of 2024. Holm then fell out with the club and spent the playoffs in the stands.
Holm has played 261 matches in the Djurgården jersey.
