Before the game was half an hour old, Patric Åslund, Kristian Lien and Adam Ståhl had made it 3–0 on the scoreboard. VSK never recovered from that shock start.
Lien then scored both the fourth and fifth goals in the second half.
"It's clear that it's absolutely fantastic. It's a good performance and we score on all our chances," Kristian Lien tells TV4.
After the fifth goal, things got out of hand for the VSK supporters. It was sparked by some form of pyrotechnics that caused referee Victor Wolf to stop the game, a stoppage that lasted for about ten minutes.
The scoring was completed by Miro Tenho, who headed in the 6–0 goal.
The victory means that Dif moved up to third place, while Västerås is seventh.
