"After a positive start with good football and a semi-final in the Swedish Cup, we have unfortunately ended up in a sporting situation where the results in the women's Swedish Championship have not been good enough and consequently we are implementing this change," says sports director Jean Balawo on Djurgården's website.
Willie Kirk came to Djurgården before the season from Linköping, who were relegated from the Swedish women's league last year.
Djurgården finished fourth last season, but this season has been tough and after only two wins in eleven matches, the team is in the relegation zone as the second team going into the summer break.
There is a one-point gap to IFK Norrköping in the qualifying place.
