The Stockholm team's third consecutive three-pointer puts the team seven points behind league leaders Sirius and one point behind second-place Hammarby.
Now Djurgården sees the chance - not least since the league leaders from Uppsala are in poor form with three straight losses.
"We've been far too uneven to be mentioned in such a discussion. In my mind, we're not quite there yet," defender Jacob Une says to TV4 Play, despite the third straight victory.
Two years ago last
It is the first time since May 2024 that Djurgården has won three straight Allsvenskan matches.
On Monday, Djurgården beat the reigning Swedish champions 4-0 after Kristian Lien scored the first two goals in the first 14 minutes of the match.
At Strandvallen it took a little longer for Lien to get his reward. In the 60th minute he shot past new Mjällby goalkeeper Sebastian Hansen and into the net from close range after Jeppe Okkels had played the ball forward.
With his 15th goal, Lien is now level with Robbie Ure - the Sirius striker who moved to Seville - at the top of the scoring league.

After assisting the opening goal, Okkels elegantly lobbed home the 2-0 four minutes after the opener after being set up by goalkeeper Jacob Rinne's huge free kick.
Djurgården's away match against Mjällby was originally supposed to have been played at the end of May, but was moved at Mjällby's request as the team had Elliot Stroud, now at English side Hull, away on World Cup duty.
Mjällby have had a really tough time since the World Cup break and have five losses in their last eight matches. Last year's champions are only four points away from a qualifying spot.
