There have been rumors about Viktor Djukanovic for a while.
Now it's finally clear that the Montenegrin is leaving Allsvenskan Hammarby – the 20-year-old is set for the Belgian top club Standard Liège.
The clubs have agreed on a one-year loan with a purchase option.
Last season, Djukanovic scored a total of eleven goals, but this year it's been tougher. After twelve matches, the winger has only scored two goals and made one assist.
"Given the circumstances, this is a good solution for all parties. Viktor's spring hasn't turned out as he or we had hoped. Considering the qualities he possesses and the potential he has, playing in Belgium is a very good solution for all involved. We wish Viktor good luck," says Hammarby's sports manager Mikael Hjelmberg to the club's website.
The Belgian league has just started again, and Standard Liège drew against Genk in the first match.
