The player union PTPA states in a statement that the lawsuit "reveals systemic abuse, competition-restricting methods, and an indifference to the well-being of players that has persisted for decades".
Even ITF, the International Tennis Federation, and ITIA, which handles doping and corruption issues in tennis, are pointed out in the lawsuit.
PTPA believes that the four organizations "function as a cartel".
PTPA was founded by Novak Djokovic and Canadian Vasek Pospisil in 2020. Around 20 players are behind the various allegations submitted to courts in the USA, the UK, and the EU.
ATP and WTA reject the allegations.
"While ATP has focused on delivering reforms that benefit players on multiple levels, PTPA has consistently chosen division and distraction through disinformation", ATP states in a statement.
WTA believes that the lawsuit is "regrettable and misguided" and says they will "vigorously defend themselves".
