Novak Djokovic shows fine form ahead of Australian Open.
The 37-year-old Serb is clear for the quarterfinals in the ATP tournament in Brisbane after having outclassed Gael Monfils in a veteran meeting with 6–3, 6–3.
It was Djokovic's 20th straight win against 38-year-old Monfils and the match was over in one hour and twelve minutes.
We've played longer and I've known Gael since I was 15 and he was 16. Hopefully, we'll meet again before we both retire, says the former world number one who now faces American Reilly Opelka.
Djokovic is chasing his 25th Grand Slam win when Australian Open begins in just over a week.
