At 11 am on Christmas Eve, the problems began when Swish users were unable to transfer money, which Aftonbladet was the first to report on. Just before midnight on Christmas Eve, the payment app announced that the problems were resolved, but on Christmas morning, users encountered new problems. Those who wanted to view their payment history in the app were met with an error message. It wasn't until 3 pm on Christmas Day that Swish began functioning normally again.

What I can say is that there was a disruption in service yesterday, and today there have been problems displaying the history in the app, says Matilda Westerman at Swish's press department.

I only know that there was a disruption in service and that they worked to resolve it as quickly as possible.

She is brief when it comes to the reason for the problems, which persisted on and off for more than 24 hours.

Do you suspect a hacker attack or overload attack?

All I know is that there was a disruption in service, says Matilda Westerman.
