Disney is raising its profit forecast for 2025 in connection with the quarterly report being released. Both the theme parks and the streaming service Disney+ are performing better.
The new park in Abu Dhabi will take approximately 5-6 years to build after a two-year design and planning process. The park will be operated by an external party, Miral Group, where Disney will receive payment in the form of license revenue.
Disney's adjusted quarterly profit was also better than expected, 1.45 dollars per share, compared to 1.21 dollars the same period last year, against expected 1.20 dollars. Revenues increased by 7 percent to 23.6 billion dollars, approximately 230 billion kronor.
The stock is surging 6-7 percent in American trading.
