Vladyslav Heraskevych wanted to compete in the Olympic skeleton event wearing a helmet with images of Ukrainian war victims. For this, he was disqualified by the International Olympic Committee.
For his stance, Heraskevych receives the Order of Freedom from President Zelenskyy.
Zelenskyy writes on X that Ukraine's greatest asset is Ukrainians who "celebrate the truth and the memory of the athletes killed by Russia."
