It was only two matches for the star duo Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios in the doubles tournament in Brisbane.
In the second match, they faced the top-seeded pair of Croatian Nikola Mektic and New Zealander Michael Venus. After three sets, it was clear that Djokovic and Kyrgios had played out. Mektic/Venus won with set scores 6–2, 3–6, 10–8.
Kyrgios also lost his first singles match, but for Djokovic, the ATP tournament continues on the singles side with the quarterfinals on Thursday against Frenchman Gaël Monfils.
