P3 Serie is releasing a five-part horror thriller based on the myth of the so-called child murder cross outside Ödeshög, according to a press release from Sveriges Radio.

The series follows podcaster Lydia (Gina Dirawi), who in 2025 receives an anonymous letter with previously unknown audio recordings linked to three ethnology students who disappeared at the site in 2002. The plot is inspired by the documentary-style horror film "Blair Witch Project" from 1999.

The screenplay is written by Amanda Romare ("Half of Malmö is made up of guys who dumped me") together with her sister Adina Romare. Moa Gammel ("Tommy", "Jordskott") is directing.

The series will be published on December 15th in the Swedish Radio app.
