Difficult situation for easyJet - raising flight prices

The uncertain global situation is affecting British low-cost airline easyJet. Ahead of the summer travel season, bookings have dropped compared with the previous year as travelers become increasingly cautious.

Travelers are waiting and booking later, says CEO Kenton Jarvis.

For the second half of 2026, the current booking rate is 58 percent, a decrease of 2 percentage points from the previous year.

The company has also raised ticket prices due to rising fuel costs, but there is no risk of cancelled flights due to fuel shortages, according to the CEO.

We have no concerns and plan to run according to schedule, says Kenton Jarvis.
