Djurgården faced Pafos in the Conference League's round of 16 yesterday.
After the match, a video clip has started spreading on social media. In the clip, a Djurgården supporter in the stands is seen making a gesture similar to a Nazi salute, when Pafos player Bruno Felipe went out to the sideline to take a throw-in.
Staff at the Stockholm club have taken note of the video and have contacted the police.
We shouldn't anticipate events, but based on what I see, it's completely unacceptable. That's why we immediately contacted the police, so that this is handled in a legally secure and proper manner. This is not something we want to be associated with, says Djurgården's CEO Henrik Berggren to Fotbollskanalen.
In an email to the site, the police confirm that they have been in contact with the club and that a report will be filed.
We don't know who this is yet, but we'll surely find out soon, says Berggren.
Djurgården won the double match against Pafos with a total score of 3–1 and are clear for the quarterfinals in the Conference League. There, they will face Rapid Wien.
