Fuel prices continue to skyrocket, with alternating swings between the two main fossil fuels.

On Monday and Tuesday, gasoline prices rose by a total of 1.35 kronor per litre to around 18.30 kronor. On Wednesday, filling stations raised diesel prices by 90 öre, to just under 24 kronor per litre, according to TT's translation of the chains' price notices for corporate prices on their websites.

Diesel has not been this expensive since the beginning of April, while gasoline prices are at their highest level since the end of May.

During that time, the carbon dioxide tax on fossil fuels has been reduced by 3 kronor per litre including VAT.

On Wednesday, the price of oil on the world market is set to fall slightly, which could ease pump prices in the coming days.
