60 öre on Tuesday, another 80 öre per litre on Wednesday, in line with rising world market prices for oil. Fuel chains are sharply raising the price of diesel. The price of gasoline is rising less, by just over 50 öre per litre in two days, according to the chains' corporate prices listed on their websites, which indicate equally large price changes for private motorists.
The new litre price will be around 18.60 for diesel and just over 15 kronor for gasoline.
It was this weekend that tensions between the United States and Iran gained new momentum, with repercussions for oil transport through the all-important Strait of Hormuz.
Since the government lowered the fuel tax by 3 kronor per litre at the turn of the year, prices have remained at relatively low levels.
