In the wake of a fragile ceasefire between Iran and the US and Israel, the world market price of oil plummeted on Wednesday.

After the diesel price was first reduced by a modest 60 öre, a larger reduction came on Thursday.

According to the fuel chains' corporate prices, which are an indication of how much private customers also have to pay at the pump, the decline on Thursday was 2.70 kronor per liter, to around 22 kronor.

At the same time, the price of gasoline was reduced by 90 öre to just over 18 kronor per liter.

On Thursday, the world market price of oil rose again, by about 4 percent to over $98.

Before the war broke out, diesel and gasoline cost around 17 and 15 kronor respectively.
