Oil prices fell on Friday and are falling sharply on Monday. At 2 p.m., a barrel of North Sea oil was trading at around $89, compared with a peak of $102 last Thursday.
The result will be lower prices at the petrol station. On Monday, fuel chains cut the price of gasoline by 20 öre and diesel by 65 öre, according to company prices advertised on their websites and which are usually followed by equally large changes for private motorists.
The new gasoline price for private customers is therefore around SEK 15.70 per litre, while the diesel price will be around SEK 19.60.
This can be compared with 15 and 17 kronor per litre before the war in the Middle East began on February 28.
