The rapper and music mogul Sean "Diddy" Combs was again denied bail on Wednesday after a judge rejected his appeal.
It didn't go our way, said the star's lawyer Marc Agnifilo to journalists at the court in Manhattan after the verdict.
Combs was arrested at a hotel in New York on Tuesday and is charged with sex trafficking and extortion. According to the prosecutor, the 54-year-old, who denies the allegations, has controlled a "sex crime empire".
His lawyers also tried to get him released on bail during Tuesday's court hearing, but the judge sided with the prosecutor and decided that Combs should be held in custody pending trial.
Combs has been accused of serious sexual assaults and human trafficking by several people since November last year. In these cases as well, Diddy claims to be innocent.
