It is clear after the detention hearing at Gävle District Court on Friday afternoon.
"Based on the fact that it involves a young perpetrator who uses firearm violence, the act follows the modus that we have previously seen in violence between criminal networks", said prosecutor Jenny Örn in a press release before the detention hearing.
Since that type of gang violence has previously resulted in acts of revenge, she has requested that the man's identity be kept secret in court.
Another man over 18 years old is arrested in the case as reasonably suspected. He must either be released or requested to be detained by 12 o'clock on Saturday at the latest.
Six people were injured in Saturday night's shooting in central Gävle, but all have now been able to leave the hospital according to the Prosecution Authority.
A 13-year-old boy at the time is suspected of firing the shots. According to the prosecutor, the incident can likely be linked to gang crime, but none of the people who were hit by the shots are believed to have been the actual targets.
