"We are searching for a person who has left the scene. We suspect he is behind the shooting and we are searching the area with many patrols," says operation leader Rune Hekkelstrand at the Oslo Police District to NTB.
Police responded to the school at 12:30 p.m. on Friday after receiving a report that a person had been seen with a weapon in the area. No one was reported injured, but several people were reportedly in the area when the incident occurred. Police are working to secure witness statements.
"The police are investigating reports of shots being fired. We are speaking to witnesses and working to find out what happened," says the incident commander.
He would not say whether it was one or more shots.
