Neither the players nor club manager Jostein Sivertsen want to comment on the information. However, Sivertsen tells TV2 that they are in an “internal process”.
"Nothing special has happened, but it looks like we have to adjust the course. We want to be competitive, but we also have to keep an eye on the economy," says Sivertsen.
Even in 2023, Champions League club Kolstad was forced to make cuts and the players had to agree to a 30 percent pay cut.
According to the Norwegian media, the highest-paid players will be affected in the first round. According to the media, Swedish national team goalkeeper Andreas Palicka, who joined the Trondheim club ahead of this season, belongs to that group.
In Kolstad also plays compatriot Simon Jeppsson.
