This spring, there have been reports that coach José Mourinho could be on his way back to Real Madrid in a high-profile comeback.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Mourinho and Real Madrid have agreed on a two-year deal, and official confirmation is expected shortly.
Mourinho, 63, is one of the most highly regarded coaches in world football. He previously coached Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013.
He also had great success at Chelsea, and has coached clubs such as Manchester United, Tottenham, Inter and Roma.
Real Madrid fired Xabi Alonso earlier in the season, and since then interim coach Alvaro Arbeloa has led the team.
