Several of tennis' biggest stars are unhappy with the prize money at the Grand Slam tournaments. In protest, they will limit the time they are available to the media during Wimbledon, the BBC reports.
The protests began earlier this year, and in response, the All England Club, which organizes Wimbledon, increased the prize money by 20 percent. The singles champions will receive nearly 47 million kronor each, and the total prize fund is 810 million kronor.
But this was not enough for the players.
The demands, which the players say have not been met, include that 16 percent of revenue from the Grand Slam tournaments should go to prize money.
