Depressed Asian stock markets as China, Japan and South Korea indices are down

It is a tough day for Asian stock market indices, with negative figures seen in China, Japan, and South Korea, among others.

Wednesday's trading is in a bearish mood across Asia. Japan's Nikkei 225 index is down 1.1 percent while the broader Topix is down 0.7 percent.

South Korea's Kospi is down 3.4 percent. Hong Kong's Hang Seng is down 1.2 percent, Shenzhen is down 1.9 percent, and Shanghai is down 0.7 percent.
